The French League Federation (LFP) has decided to postpone the league match between RC Lens and Paris Saint-Germain, despite earlier objections from Lens.
According to a report from RMC Sport, the decision was made to give PSG enough time to prepare for their crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool.
Further reports indicate that, following the postponement, PSG will now have a full week of rest before facing Liverpool in the quarterfinal match, a situation that could give them a significant physical and tactical advantage.
However, the situation is different for Liverpool, who are dealing with a much tighter schedule. The team will play against Manchester City four days before the first leg against PSG, and then face Fulham FC three days before the return leg.
These scheduling changes have sparked widespread debate about competitive fairness, with some arguing that PSG have gained an important advantage heading into their knockout tie against Liverpool.
