The Tanzania national team, Taifa Stars, secured a dominant 6β0 victory over Macau in an international friendly match of the FIFA Series played on Sunday at PelΓ© Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda.
Taifa Stars started the match at a high tempo and opened the scoring in the 16th minute through an own goal by a Macau player, giving Tanzania early confidence. The pressure continued, and in the 26th minute, defender Bakari Mwamnyeto headed in the second goal.
Midfielder Mudathir Yahya extended the lead in the 45th minute with the third goal, sending Tanzania into halftime with a comfortable 3β0 advantage.
The second half remained one-sided, with Tanzania maintaining intense attacking pressure. In the 56th minute, forward Paul Peter scored the fourth goal, before Novatus Miroshi added the fifth in the 74th minute.
The sixth and final goal came in the 87th minute through Tarryn Allarakhia, sealing an emphatic win for Taifa Stars.
In the match, Tanzania demonstrated superior ball possession, chance creation, and finishing, while Macau struggled to cope with the pace and intensity of their opponents.
The victory forms part of Taifa Starsβ preparations for upcoming international competitions.
