Tottenham Sack Igor Tudor After Poor Run of Results

Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the dismissal of their head coach Igor Tudor on Sunday, March 29, 2026, following a short but disappointing spell in charge.

According to the club’s official statement, it was mutually agreed that Tudor would leave immediately, along with some members of his coaching staff.

The Croatian coach was in charge for just 44 days, managing only seven matches—one of the shortest managerial tenures in the history of the Premier League.

The main reason for his departure was poor performance. In his seven matches:

  • He lost 5 games
  • He did not win a single league match
  • The team remained close to the relegation zone (17th place)

At the time, Spurs were just one point above the relegation zone, increasing pressure from both fans and the club’s management.

Reports also indicate that Tudor went through a difficult personal period following the recent passing of his father, a situation acknowledged by the club in its official statement.

This marks the second managerial change for Spurs in the 2025/26 season. Before Tudor, the club had also sacked Thomas Frank in February due to poor results.

So far, Spurs have not announced a new head coach, but reports suggest that Sean Dyche and Roberto De Zerbi are among the leading candidates to replace Tudor.
