Yanga SC and Simba SC Return to Training Ahead of Season Run-In

Both Tanzanian football giants, Yanga SC and Simba SC, are expected to resume training on Monday, June 1, following short breaks granted to players ahead of the final stretch of the Premier League season and the CRDB Cup.

Yanga SC management granted the squad a six-day break following their 3-1 victory over Namungo FC, a result that boosted morale as they continue their push to finish the season strongly.

Club spokesperson Ali Kamwe confirmed that the reigning champions will officially report back to camp on Monday, June 1, to begin preparations for their remaining league matches and the CRDB Cup fixtures.

Yanga SC still have five crucial Premier League matches remaining, as well as a CRDB Cup semi-final clash against Azam FC.

After the FIFA international break, Yanga SC are expected to travel to Kigoma to face Mashujaa FC on June 13, before heading to Arusha to play Fountain Gate on June 17.

The schedule continues with a high-profile clash against Azam FC in the CRDB Cup semi-final on June 21 at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza, followed by another league meeting with Azam FC on June 24.

Other key fixtures include a match against TRA United on June 27 at KMC Complex, before concluding their season against JKT Tanzania on June 30 at Isamuhyo Stadium.

On the other hand, Simba SC will also end their seven-day break on Monday and return to training to prepare for the final phase of the season.

Club spokesperson Ahmed Ali confirmed that all players not on international duty are expected to report to camp for these important preparations.

Simba SC still have five league matches remaining, along with a CRDB Cup semi-final against Coastal Union scheduled for June 20.

Before that, Simba will face Pamba Jiji at KMC Complex on June 14, followed by an away trip to Mbeya City on June 17.

Ahmed Ali stated that the club is fully focused on finishing the season strongly and competing for the remaining trophies.
