Simba SC to Release Defender Carabou Chamoua Ahead of New Season

Simba SC have reportedly decided not to continue with Ivory Coast defender Carabou Chamoua, as he is no longer part of the club’s plans for the upcoming season.

It is reported that the club’s management has already informed the player of their decision, allowing him to begin exploring new opportunities ahead of the next transfer window, which opens next month.

Chamoua is currently on loan at TRA United FC, where he has been receiving regular playing time after struggling to secure a permanent place in Simba’s first team this season.

The defender’s contract with Simba is set to expire at the end of this month. Meanwhile, TRA United are said to be satisfied with his performances and are keen on extending his stay.

Chamoua was among the players signed during the 2024/25 season as part of Simba’s squad rebuild under coach Fadlu Davids. However, strong competition for places made it difficult for him to feature regularly.

Alongside Chamoua, midfielder Mzamiru Yassin is also facing a similar situation. His contract is also due to expire at the end of the month, with reports suggesting he is not part of Simba’s plans for the next season.
