Azam FC have officially confirmed the extension of their contract with veteran midfielder Hemed Mao Mkami, who will remain at the club until 2027.
The experienced player has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the Chamazi-based club, a move that reflects the strong confidence of the technical bench and management in his contribution to the team.
Hemed Mao returned to Azam FC last season after spending around six years playing professional football in Egypt, where he gained valuable experience in a highly competitive environment. That experience has continued to make him one of the most important players in Azam FC’s midfield.
Since his return, Mao has played a key role in building the team, operating in central midfield with discipline, strength, and the ability to control the tempo of the game. His presence has added stability to the midfield unit.
The club’s decision to extend Hemed Mao’s contract demonstrates Azam FC’s commitment to maintaining a strong core of experienced players while continuing to build a squad that blends youth and experience.
