Liverpool FC are reportedly continuing their strong interest in signing RB Leipzig’s rising star Yan Diomande, after their initial bid of around €100 million was rejected by the German club.
According to reports, Liverpool are now preparing an improved offer in an attempt to break Leipzig’s resistance and advance negotiations to a higher level.
Leipzig refuse to sell Diomande
RB Leipzig are said to be maintaining their stance that they have no plans to sell the player at the moment, preferring to keep him for at least another season. However, it is reported that Diomande himself is open to a move if both clubs reach an agreement.
The Bundesliga club is believed to value the player between €100M and €120M+, due to his rapid development and major contribution to the team.
PSG also in the race
In addition to Liverpool, French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are also said to be monitoring the situation closely behind the scenes.
Diomande is currently part of the Ivory Coast national team squad participating in the ongoing World Cup tournament in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
