Following the qualification of Simba SC and Azam FC to the 2025/26 CRDB Bank Federation Cup final, attention has now shifted to the venue that will host the highly anticipated showdown on July 4, 2026.
For the past two consecutive seasons, the final has been played at New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar. However, many football stakeholders believe it is the right time to bring the match back to Dar es Salaam, a city that has not hosted the final since the 2015/16 season.
With renovation works still ongoing at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, other venues such as Uhuru Stadium and Azam Complex are being mentioned among the possible options to stage the blockbuster encounter, which is expected to attract thousands of fans.
Regions that have hosted the Federation Cup final since 2015/16:
2015/16 β Dar es Salaam (Benjamin Mkapa Stadium)
2016/17 β Dodoma (Jamhuri Stadium)
2017/18 β Arusha (Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium)
2018/19 β Lindi (Ilulu Stadium)
2019/20 β Rukwa (Nelson Mandela Stadium, Sumbawanga)
2020/21 β Kigoma (Lake Tanganyika Stadium)
2021/22 β Arusha (Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium)
2022/23 β Tanga (Mkwakwani Stadium)
2023/24 β Zanzibar (New Amaan Complex)
2024/25 β Zanzibar (New Amaan Complex)
While the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) is yet to officially announce the venue for this yearβs final, fans across the country are eagerly awaiting the decision that will determine which region will add another chapter to the history of the competition.
