The NBC Premier League is approaching its conclusion, with the 2025/26 season set to end on Tuesday, June 30, when all Round 30 matches are played.
The league board has confirmed that all fixtures in Rounds 28, 29, and 30 will kick off simultaneously at 10:00 PM. The decision is aimed at preserving the integrity of the competition and eliminating any possibility of result manipulation.
While much of the attention is focused on the fierce title race between Yanga SC and Simba SC, the battle at the bottom of the table is equally intense.
KMC are currently the only team whose relegation has already been confirmed, but several other clubs remain locked in a fight for survival.
Mbeya City occupy 15th place and are just one point behind 14th-placed Tanzania Prisons, who have collected 26 points.
Mathematically, no team from eighth-placed Dodoma Jiji downwards can yet consider itself completely safe, meaning a large portion of the league remains involved in the relegation battle.
With only a few matches remaining, every point will be crucial as clubs continue to fight for league titles, continental qualification spots, and survival in Tanzaniaβs top flight.
