Simba SC have arrived in Morogoro Region ahead of their Tanzania Mainland Premier League match against Mtibwa Sugar, which will be played tomorrow Wednesday at Jamhuri Stadium.
The Msimbazi Reds are expected to step onto the pitch with one clear objective: securing all three points to maintain pressure in the title race this season.
This is a Matchweek 28 fixture and the second meeting between the two teams this season. In the first round played at Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium, the match ended in a 1-1 draw as both sides shared points.
Since that encounter, Simba have shown significant improvement under coach Steve Barker, remaining unbeaten in the league and currently enjoying a seven-match winning streak.
Coach Steve Barker has continued to instill strong tactical discipline and positive results, giving Simba high morale and confidence ahead of the upcoming fixture.
Simba are currently just two points behind league leaders Yanga, making every remaining match crucial in the title race.
Simba have an opportunity to go top of the table if they defeat Mtibwa Sugar and Yanga drop points in their tough match against Azam FC.
If those results occur, Simba will take the lead and intensify the pressure in the closing stages of the season.
However, Mtibwa Sugar will not be an easy opponent, especially as they fight to secure their league status and often show strong resistance at home.
