Yanga SC have made significant progress in their efforts to re-sign attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki from Libyan club Al Ittihad, it has been reported.
Aziz Ki is currently in the country on holiday following the conclusion of the Libyan football season.
It is understood that Yanga have already submitted an official offer to Al Ittihad to sign the 2023/24 NBC Premier League MVP.
Aziz Ki joined Al Ittihad in January during the mid-season transfer window, arriving from Moroccan side Wydad AC.
However, the Burkina Faso international is reportedly concerned about security conditions and is also keen to be closer to his family.
While Yanga have already tabled a formal bid, it is further claimed that if Al Ittihad fail to reach an agreement, the player could take the matter to FIFA over alleged unpaid signing fees.
Given the current situation, Aziz Ki is believed to be unwilling to return to Libya, giving Yanga a strong chance of bringing him back to Jangwani.
