The NBC Premier League title race will go down to the final round after both Yanga SC and Simba SC secured important victories in their Round 29 matches.
At KMC Complex, Yanga defeated TRA United 3-0, with attacking midfielder Allan Okello producing another outstanding display by scoring his fourth hat-trick of the season.
The victory lifted Yanga to 72 points, keeping the defending champions at the top of the league table with a two-point advantage over rivals Simba.
Meanwhile, Simba hosted Singida BS at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium and continued their impressive run with a comfortable 2-0 victory.
Goals from Elie Mpanzu and Anicet Oura secured all three points for the Msimbazi Reds, taking their tally to 70 points and ensuring the title race remains alive heading into the final round.
Azam FC also claimed a 2-0 away victory over Coastal Union at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
Feisal Salum scored his 15th league goal of the season to strengthen his position at the top of the scoring charts, ahead of Allan Okello and Mossi Ndumumwe, who each have 14 goals.
At the bottom of the table, Tanzania Prisons boosted their survival hopes with a 2-1 victory over Mtibwa Sugar. The result lifted Prisons out of the automatic relegation zone, while dropping Mtibwa Sugar into the bottom positions, leaving their top-flight status hanging by a thread.
