Fountain Gate FC Wonderkid Juma “Chuga” Abushiri Set for KRC Genk Move

Fountain Gate FC are in the final stages of completing the transfer of their rising star Juma Abushiri, popularly known as “Chuga” (18), to Belgium, where he is set to join KRC Genk.

The highly rated attacking midfielder is currently finalising travel arrangements and initial agreements before being officially announced as part of Genk’s youth development system.

According to sources close to the deal, discussions between the player’s representatives, Fountain Gate FC, and KRC Genk have progressed well, with personal terms reportedly already agreed.

Chuga is expected to begin his European journey with KRC Genk’s U-20 squad, where he will undergo structured development before potentially being promoted to the senior team if he meets expectations.

Genk’s Reputation for Developing Talent

KRC Genk is widely known in Europe as one of the leading clubs in developing young talent, having produced several players who have gone on to succeed in top European leagues.

For Chuga, joining this system is seen as a major opportunity to develop his technical ability, tactical discipline, and international experience at a young age.

Top Tanzanian Clubs Were Interested

Before his move to Europe, several major Tanzanian clubs were reportedly monitoring his progress closely.

Yanga SC, Azam FC, and Singida Black Stars were among the clubs said to be interested in signing him due to his creativity and ability to play as an advanced attacking midfielder.
