The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Simba SC, Crescentius Magori, has said the club is back on the path to championship success after winning the CRDB Federation Cup today, describing the achievement as a sign of the team’s progress this season.
Speaking shortly after the victory, Magori said Simba had fulfilled one of its key objectives by lifting the trophy, adding that the squad had shown strong performances across all competitions they participated in this season.
“Simba is back on the path to winning titles. We have won the CRDB Cup, but if the league had been fair, we would have lifted both trophies this season,” Magori said.
His remarks have sparked debate among football stakeholders in the country due to his comments on the conduct of the Tanzanian Premier League, coming as Simba concluded their season by winning the CRDB Federation Cup and further adding to their trophy haul in the competition’s history.
