The Jangwani area in Dar es Salaam turned into a hub of entertainment and celebration after Simba SC held a victory parade to mark their triumph in the CRDB Federation Cup, an event that drew the attention of thousands of fans.
The championsโ convoy arrived at around 2:40 p.m., led by team buses and followed by a large stream of supporters who flooded the streets to welcome their team after a 1-0 victory over Azam FC in the final played on Pemba Island.
Upon entering Jangwani, where the headquarters of their rivals Yanga are located, the Simba buses moved slowly as fans surrounded the vehicles, cheering loudly, singing team songs, and hurling taunts at their traditional rivals.
In a moment that stirred strong emotions, some fans were seen wiping the bus windows as a sign of joy and affection for their club, while others directed taunts at a parked Yanga SC bus nearby, further intensifying the atmosphere of rivalry.
Later, an open-top vehicle carrying club spokesperson Ahmed Ally and captain Shomari Kapombe arrived, greeted by loud cheers from the supporters.
Kapombe was seen holding the CRDB Cup aloft several times to display the victory to fans, while Ahmed Ally also showcased the Muungano Cup, which Simba won in April 2026 after defeating Yanga, adding more excitement to the celebrations.
In what further heightened the excitement, the officials paused in front of Yangaโs headquarters for several minutes, raising their trophies as fans cheered loudly and continued singing club songs.
Ahmed Ally later took a microphone to greet the fans, using the opportunity to jokingly taunt their rivals, which further fueled the excitement and festivities in the crowded area.
The celebrations were accompanied by a cloud of blue smoke filling the sky, decorating the festive scene before the procession continued toward Msimbazi and later reached its climax at Coco Beach.
