Simba SC may use the CECAFA Kagame Cup as part of their pre-season preparations ahead of the new campaign if the club’s current plans remain unchanged, due to the tight schedule and limited recovery time.
Simba SC Board Chairman Crencentius Magori has explained that the club needs to begin preparations for the upcoming season early, including securing new signings in good time to help head coach Steve Barker build strong team chemistry before CAF competitions begin.
Magori added that after a short break and a few key reinforcements in important areas, Simba SC could combine pre-season training with participation in the Kagame Cup in order to properly prepare for the 2026/27 season.
He said: “We will combine pre-season preparations with the CECAFA Kagame Cup as we get ready for the 2026/27 competitions.”
