Maghreb Association Sportive de Fès (MAS Fez) have returned to the summit of Moroccan football after winning the Botola Pro title, marking their first championship in 41 years.
The Fez-based club, coached by former Simba SC manager Pablo Franco, secured their fifth league title in history. Their previous triumphs came in 1965, 1979, 1983, and 1985 before this historic return to glory this season.
MAS Fez Make History
The team’s success this season has been built on squad depth, tactical discipline, and the ability to control their destiny in a tightly contested title race in the Botola Pro.
Under Pablo Franco Martinez, the club has developed a new identity based on organization, technical balance, and collective strength across all departments of the squad.
Soufiane Benjdida Leads the Charge
One of the standout performers this season was striker Soufiane Benjdida, who finished as the Botola Pro top scorer with 20 goals.
His clinical finishing, consistency in key matches, and major contribution to the team’s victories played a decisive role in ending MAS Fez’s decades-long title drought.
End of a 41-Year Wait
For MAS Fez supporters, this title represents more than just a championship—it is the restoration of pride and history for their club.
After 41 years since their 1985 triumph, MAS Fez are once again champions of Morocco, signaling the beginning of a new era of success for the historic club.
Pablo Franco Continues to Build His Legacy in Africa
For Pablo Franco Martinez, this achievement further strengthens his reputation as a coach capable of reviving historic clubs and building highly competitive, disciplined teams across African football.
RS Berkane finished second in the league, while Raja CA ended the season in third place. AS FAR, who reached the CAF Champions League final this season, missed out on continental qualification next season after finishing fourth.
