Morocco national team striker Ismael Saibari is expected to miss today's FIFA World Cup quarterfinal against France after suffering a hamstring injury.
Saibari, Morocco's leading scorer with three goals in the tournament, sustained the injury during the Round of 16 victory over Canada and was forced off in the 22nd minute.
Speaking ahead of today's match, Morocco head coach Mohammed Ouahbi confirmed that the forward will not be available for the clash against France but expressed hope that he will return if the Atlas Lions reach the semifinals.
The highly anticipated quarterfinal between Morocco and France is regarded as one of the standout fixtures of the round and is scheduled to kick off at 11:00 PM East Africa Time (EAT) today.
