The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has awarded cash bonuses to the country's youth national teams in recognition of their outstanding achievements on the international stage.
Serengeti Boys received TZS 500 million after securing a historic qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held in Qatar, while also reaching the final of the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Meanwhile, Tanzanite Queens were awarded TZS 50 million following their qualification for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, which will take place in Poland this September.
TFF stated that the financial rewards are aimed at recognizing the players, coaching staff, and team officials for their dedication, patriotism, and remarkable performances, while reaffirming the federation's commitment to investing in the development of youth football in Tanzania.
