Singida Black Stars are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Ivorian attacking midfielder Jean Charles Ahoua in one of the most eye-catching transfers ahead of the new season.
Ahoua, who previously impressed during his spell at Simba SC with his creativity and goal-scoring ability, is set to return to the Tanzania Mainland Premier League after leaving Algerian club CR Belouizdad.
The Ivorian is understood to have terminated his contract with Belouizdad by mutual agreement, making him a free agent before his expected move to Singida Black Stars.
If officially confirmed, the signing would represent a major boost for Singida Black Stars as they continue strengthening their squad for both domestic and continental competitions.
Ahoua is expected to be part of the Singida Black Stars squad for the upcoming CECAFA Kagame Cup, which kicks off on Friday, July 24. His experience and ability to create and score goals are expected to add significant quality to the team's attacking midfield.
The midfielder returns to Tanzania with an impressive record, having finished the 2024/25 NBC Premier League season as the league's top scorer. He will now look to continue that form, this time in the colours of Singida Black Stars.
