Mashujaa FC have officially appointed Amani Richard Josiah as the club's new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season, replacing Jamhuri Kiwhelo, popularly known as "Julio."
Josiah's appointment follows his departure from Dodoma Jiji FC, where he served during the previous Tanzanian Premier League season. Before the official announcement, reports had indicated that he had reached an agreement with Mashujaa FC after his contract with Dodoma Jiji was terminated.
Mashujaa FC confirmed the appointment through the club's social media platforms, welcoming Josiah as the new leader of the technical bench ahead of preparations for the upcoming season.
Josiah brings extensive experience in Tanzanian football, having previously coached Geita Gold FC, Biashara United Mara, and Tanzania Prisons SC before joining Dodoma Jiji FC in 2025. During his time at Dodoma Jiji, he guided the team to several impressive results against some of the Premier League's top clubs and earned recognition for building a competitive squad.
For Mashujaa FC, Josiah's arrival is viewed as part of the club's strategy to strengthen its technical department and assemble a team capable of competing strongly in the 2026/27 Tanzanian Premier League season.
Mashujaa supporters will now be eager to see how the experienced coach uses his knowledge and leadership to transform the team and help achieve the club's ambitions for the new campaign.
