Simba SC have officially confirmed the signing of 23-year-old Nigerian midfielder Ibraheem Jabaar following the expiry of his contract with South African club Stellenbosch FC.
Jabaar joins the Msimbazi Reds as a free agent after bringing his spell at Stellenbosch to an end.
Head coach Steve Barker is reported to have played a key role in securing the midfielder's signature, having convinced him to join Simba after he opted against renewing his contract with Stellenbosch.
Jabaar enjoyed a successful spell at Stellenbosch under Barker's guidance and also gained international experience during a loan stint with Israeli club Maccabi Petah Tikva.
Although primarily a central midfielder, Jabaar is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder and on the left wing, giving Simba valuable versatility in midfield and attack.
