Yanga SC's Head of Information and Communications, Ally Kamwe, has revealed that injured duo Clement Mzize and Dickson Job are recovering much faster than initially expected, providing a major boost for the club ahead of the new season.
Kamwe made the announcement during a press conference held at the club's headquarters in Jangwani, Dar es Salaam.
"The last medical report I received indicated that these two players would return in December, but Mzize and Job are extraordinary. They are now expected to be back on the pitch in October," Kamwe said.
Both players have been sidelined since last season after suffering serious injuries. Mzize picked up his injury during Yanga's CAF Champions League qualifying match against Walliet (Ethiopia), while Job was injured in the Muungano Cup final against Simba SC.
Their accelerated recovery is a significant boost for Yanga, with both players now on course to return to action much earlier than originally anticipated.
