Yanga SC star Pacome Zouzoua has wished his team all the best ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against Botswana’s Gaborone United, saying his heart and thoughts remain with the squad despite being unable to feature due to injury.
In a message to the team, Zouzoua said: “All the best to the entire Yanga family on this Champions League journey. Unfortunately, my absence means I cannot be with you on the pitch, but my heart and thoughts are with you.”
Zouzoua is expected to miss the entire 2026/27 season after suffering a serious foot and ankle injury in Yanga’s final match of last season against JKT Tanzania.
Despite being ruled out, Zouzoua has urged his teammates to give everything in defence of the Yanga jersey, stressing that he will continue to stand with them in spirit throughout their CAF Champions League campaign.
