Yanga SC has announced a special day to welcome their new striker Selemani Mwalimu, with the club’s upcoming match being dedicated to him and officially branded “Sele Day” as part of a special reception for the player.
Speaking about the plans, Yanga supporter and leader Alikamwe said the match day has been dedicated specifically to welcoming Selemani Mwalimu to Jangwani.
He said the day will be special for the Wananchi, with supporters being encouraged to take part in the preparations and give the player a memorable welcome.
“We have dedicated this match day to our player, Selemani Mwalimu, and it will be ‘Sele Day.’ It is a special day to welcome Selemani Mwalimu to Jangwani, and since he has done something special in football in Botswana, we, the Wananchi, want to give him a proper welcome.”
To add more excitement to the occasion, Alikamwe also issued a unique challenge to Yanga supporters, asking them to choose one part of their body with hair, apply bleach, and then send in their photos as part of the build-up to “Sele Day.”
The initiative is expected to create even more excitement among Yanga supporters and make the occasion memorable for both Selemani Mwalimu and the Wananchi attending the match.
With the preparations already gaining momentum, Yanga fans are now eagerly looking forward to the special occasion and the official welcome of Selemani Mwalimu at Jangwani.
