Mecky Mexime is set to become the new head coach of TRA United, replacing Etienne Ndayiragije, who has parted ways with the club following an unconvincing start to the Tanzanian Premier League season.
According to reports, Mexime is already on his way to join TRA United and is expected to begin his new duties once the necessary formalities of his arrival at the club have been completed.
Ndayiragije leaves TRA United after overseeing five league matches without a win. The team collected just three points from three draws, while suffering two defeats.
Mexime, who coached Mbeya City last season, now faces the task of turning TRA United’s fortunes around and giving the club a new direction in the 2026/27 season. He is expected to begin work after being officially unveiled by the club.
