Yanga goalkeeper Hussein Masalanga has said the team is well prepared for their NBC Mainland Premier League clash against TRA United, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Masalanga said they recognise the quality of their opponents and expect a fiercely contested encounter.
He said their current focus is on winning the match to maintain a strong position in the league standings.
βAs players, we are well prepared for this match. We believe that by following the instructions given to us by our coach, we will perform well and get a positive result.β
βWe are playing against a tough team with good players, but we also have capable players, and we are well prepared for this match.β
βRegarding the condition of the pitch, every ground we play on presents its own challenges. However, we are prepared to deal with those challenges to ensure we perform well.β
βAs for our previous matches, we do not want to spend too much time looking back because those games are already behind us. Our priority is the next match, because dwelling too much on the past could prevent us from achieving the goals we have set for ourselves,β he said.
